CALLING ALL 15TH INFANTRY REGIMENT VETERANS!
If you served in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Battalion of the 15th Infantry Regiment at any time, in any era, we have a special opportunity to gather this year at the Society 106th Annual Reunion to re-unite at the home of the 3-15 IN and the historic China Room at Ft. Stewart. LTC Sam Kriegler, Battalion Commander and caretaker of the China Room and its historic artifacts, has graciously offered to open the Room for us.
In LTC Kriegler’s words: "My intent is to have Soldiers available to give short presentations or remarks about the China Room and to remain available to answer questions. Additionally, if you want, we can set up an equipment display in the motor pool -- tanks, Brads, AMPVs, ISVs, etc. This will provide 15th IN alumni, family members, and other veterans an opportunity to check out the latest modernization efforts and interact with Can Do Soldiers." Of special note – BG (Ret.) Larry Burris, Honorary Colonel of the Regiment, will be joining us.
This is a magnificent opportunity for us to get together, meet the Honorary Colonel of the Regiment, view Regimental artifacts and history, enjoy reminiscing, swap lies, have some photos taken... and for those of us "of a certain age group," an opportunity we may not have again. This event may not appear on the list of activities for the Annual Reunion that you will see in the upcoming August and October issues of The Watch on the Rhine. When you get your copy of The Watch, get your Reunion registration sent in as soon as possible. Then immediately contact Bill Blissett, Editor of The Watch, at email
We CAN DO this! Clear your calendars and save the dates!
Let's get together for a 15th Infantry CAN DO celebration at the historic China Room!
